Synopsis
Lord of Illusions (1995) is a dark fantasy horror you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Clive Barker. Scott Bakula plays Harry D'Amour, a New York private detective who travels to Los Angeles on a mundane case and stumbles into the wreckage of a murderous cult.
Thirteen years earlier, a magician named Swann killed his mentor Nix — a man who believed he could become a god and decided to settle for destroying the world instead. Now Nix's loyal disciples are working to bring him back. Swann's wife, played by Famke Janssen, knows what that resurrection would mean. D'Amour is a man who has seen genuine evil before, but nothing like what waits on the other side of this particular illusion.
Barker, best known for the Hellraiser franchise, carved out something rare here: a hardboiled detective story grafted onto full-blooded occult horror. Kevin J. O'Connor and Daniel von Bargen round out a strong cast. Stream Lord of Illusions (1995) online on iFILM.
