Synopsis

When the price of dark matter — the only fuel that runs every starship — goes through the roof, the Planet Express crew sets out to break Mom's grip on the supply. Their detour drops them underground into a medieval realm of dragons, wizards and knights who look suspiciously familiar. Bender, meanwhile, sinks so deep into a tabletop role-playing game that he loses track of where the fantasy ends.
The third of four Futurama films from Matt Groening's universe leans hard into Lord of the Rings and gamer culture — Dungeons & Dragons creator Gary Gygax even shows up in the voice cast.
