Jonathan Pine, a former British soldier, runs the night desk at a luxury hotel. His past catches up when intelligence officers recruit him to infiltrate the circle of Richard Roper, a charming billionaire who poses as a philanthropist while selling weapons across the globe. To get close, Pine has to become a criminal himself. Tom Hiddleston plays a man slowly disappearing into his cover, Hugh Laurie is a smiling villain with no cracks in the mask, and Elizabeth Debicki is Roper's mistress, ready to gamble on a dangerous double game.
