Synopsis
The Astronaut (2025) is a sci-fi horror thriller — watch online on iFILM. Kate Mara plays Sam Walker, a NASA astronaut whose first mission ends badly: re-entry goes wrong, the capsule takes damage, and Sam surfaces in the middle of the ocean battered and barely conscious.
For recovery and observation, she's placed in a remote Virginia estate under the watch of General William Harris (Laurence Fishburne) — her adoptive father. The setting is controlled. The situation is not. Sam's injuries refuse to heal, and unexplained events keep occurring in and around the property. Director Jess Varley builds the film as a slow-tightening trap: is it psychological, physical, or something that hitched a ride back from orbit? Gabriel Luna and Ivana Miličević round out the cast in this 90-minute thriller from Wild Atlantic Pictures.
