The Missing (2014) is a British crime drama series you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Tom Shankland and Ben Chanan. The story unfolds across two time frames — 2006 and 2014 — cutting between a boy's disappearance and the aftermath eight years on.

During the 2006 World Cup, a British couple loses their five-year-old son in a French town caught up in the football frenzy. James Nesbitt plays Tony Hughes, the father who cannot let go — a performance that never tips into melodrama even as the obsession hollows him out. Frances O'Connor plays his wife, who finds a different way to survive. French detective Julien Baptiste, played by Tchéky Karyo, reopens the case when new evidence suggests the boy may still be alive. David Morrissey and Keeley Hawes round out the main cast.
