Unsolved Mysteries (1988) is a true-crime documentary series you can watch online on iFILM, originally airing on NBC and later CBS, hosted by Robert Stack. Four to five cases per episode: missing persons, unexplained deaths, fugitives, paranormal claims.

The format was different from anything else on American television at the time. Dramatic re-enactments sat alongside interviews with surviving family members and witnesses, and each episode closed with a direct appeal to viewers — a toll-free tip line. Hundreds of thousands of calls came in per season. A portion of those calls actually led to arrests and solved cases. Stack hosted from 1987 until 2002; Dennis Farina took over for later seasons.
