Synopsis
The Waterboy (1998) is a sports comedy starring Adam Sandler that you can watch online on iFILM. Thirty-year-old Bobby Boucher hands out water to a losing college football team and does whatever his mama says. Buried under all that politeness is a rage he never knew he had.
A new coach spots it first: anger turns Bobby into a tackling machine who flattens anyone in his path. The team's waterboy becomes its secret weapon. Kathy Bates plays his domineering mother, who calls football the work of the devil and keeps her son on a short leash. Henry Winkler is the gentle coach, and Fairuza Balk is Bobby's girlfriend with a shady record. None of it can ever reach Mama's ears.
Directed by Frank Coraci, the movie became one of the biggest comedy hits of the late nineties, and Bobby's mangled accent and talk of "high-quality H2O" turned into running jokes for a generation. Loud, goofy and oddly lovable. Stream The Waterboy (1998) online on iFILM.
