Ben-Hur

Ben-Hur (2016) is Timur Bekmambetov's historical action drama, and you can watch online on iFILM. In Roman-ruled Judea, the wealthy young prince Judah Ben-Hur (Jack Huston) and his adopted Roman brother Messala grow up inseparable — until empire and loyalty pull them apart.

A single false accusation strips Judah of name, family and freedom. He spends five brutal years chained below deck on a war galley, survives a wreck, and crawls his way home with one purpose. Messala (Toby Kebbell) is now the toast of the arena, so Judah answers him the only way Rome understands: a chariot race. Sheikh Ilderim (Morgan Freeman) trains him for it, while Esther (Nazanin Boniadi) keeps him from drowning in revenge alone.

This is the fourth screen version of Lew Wallace's 1880 novel, and Bekmambetov leans into grit — the chariot duel was staged with real horses and stunt riders rather than handed to CGI.
