Synopsis

As a boy, Lincoln watches his mother die at the hands of something inhuman. Years later he swings a silver-edged axe at the creatures who took her. By day he climbs toward the presidency, giving speeches and shaking hands; by night he hunts. Dominic Cooper plays the mentor who teaches him how vampires can be killed. Rufus Sewell is the ancient bloodsucker feeding off the slave-owning South, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays Mary Todd, the woman Abraham loves. The higher he rises, the clearer it gets that the Civil War has a hidden front.
