The Saint

Simon Templar is a thief and a master of disguise who takes only the jobs nobody else dares. He swaps names, faces and accents at will, borrowing his many aliases from Catholic saints, which is how he earned his nickname. One last score is meant to set him free: Russian oligarch Ivan Tretiak hires him to steal a formula for cold fusion, a source of cheap power that could let one man choke an entire nation. The physicist behind it is Emma Russell, and that is where the cool, calculating Templar slips up, falling for the very woman he was sent to rob.

The film loosely draws on Leslie Charteris's long-running novels about a gentleman rogue who had already lived on radio, television and screen for decades.
