Synopsis
Crossbones (2014) is an American period drama series — stream it online on iFILM. The year is 1715. On a Bahamian island, Edward Teach — Blackbeard — has built something unusual: not just a pirate haven but a self-governing republic outside every empire's reach. John Malkovich plays him as a man who quotes philosophy and orders executions without changing his tone.
British intelligence sends undercover assassin Tom Lowe (Richard Coyle) to the island with two objectives: kill Blackbeard and secure a navigational chronometer that could give pirates unchallenged control of the seas. The mission gets complicated fast. Lowe finds Blackbeard harder to dismiss than expected — and the island harder to leave. Claire Foy and Julian Sands are among the supporting cast shaping a story where loyalty, ideology, and survival constantly trade places.
