The Switch

The Switch (2010) is a romantic comedy you can watch online on iFILM, starring Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman and directed by Will Speck and Josh Gordon. One drunken night in New York City sets off a mix-up that nobody figures out for seven years.

Kassie is tired of waiting for the right guy and decides to have a baby on her own, lining up a charming married donor named Roland (Patrick Wilson). Her anxious best friend Wally thinks the whole plan is a mistake. At the insemination party he drinks himself into a blackout and remembers none of what he did. Years later Kassie comes back to town with a little boy who fidgets, frets and over-thinks exactly the way Wally does. Coincidence? Hardly.

Jeff Goldblum and Juliette Lewis round out the cast, and young Sebastian nearly steals the picture from the grown-up stars. It is a small, warm story about how hard it can be to say the obvious out loud. Stream The Switch (2010) online on iFILM.
