Thank You for Smoking

Thank You for Smoking (2005) is Jason Reitman's satirical comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Nick Naylor makes a living defending Big Tobacco on camera, and he is frighteningly good at it.

Naylor is a lobbyist with one talent: he can win any argument. Scientists, talk-show hosts, a crusading senator who wants cigarettes gone for good — Nick talks circles around them all. Aaron Eckhart plays him as a charming cynic who never lights up himself yet can sell smoking to a packed studio. Between spin sessions he tries to stay a decent father to his twelve-year-old son, even dragging the boy into the family trade of "filtering the truth." Then a reporter, played by Katie Holmes, starts digging into a story that could cost him everything.
