The Car

The Car (1977) is a cult horror thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Elliot Silverstein. A massive black coupe appears without warning on the desert roads of a Utah town and starts killing people. No driver. No license plate. No explanation.

James Brolin plays Captain Wade Parent, the officer left to deal with a case that has no rulebook. Kathleen Lloyd, John Marley, and Ronny Cox round out a cast of locals who keep searching for a rational answer while the body count climbs. The car does not stop for police tape or church grounds — though it does seem to have opinions about the latter.
