Synopsis
Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition (2026) is a music documentary you can watch online on iFILM. Director Malcolm Venville was granted access to the band's official archives and sat down with all six current members — Steve Harris, Bruce Dickinson, Nicko McBrain, Adrian Smith, Dave Murray, and Janick Gers — plus former vocalist Blaze Bayley and longtime manager Rod Smallwood. The film runs 105 minutes and traces the full arc: East London pub circuit to sold-out stadiums on every continent.
Guests bring outside perspective. Lars Ulrich, Tom Morello, Chuck D, Javier Bardem, and Gene Simmons each describe what Iron Maiden meant to them personally. Woven between the talking-head segments are newly produced animated sequences featuring Eddie, the skeletal mascot who has appeared on every studio album cover since 1980. Those sequences alone are worth the watch for longtime fans.
Universal Pictures Content Group released the film exclusively in cinemas in May 2026. Stream Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition (2026) online on iFILM and trace five decades of heavy metal built on ambition, precision, and a refusal to compromise.
