Synopsis

Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) is Woody Allen's bittersweet comedy-drama that you can watch online on iFILM. The whole story unfolds between two Thanksgiving dinners, following three sisters whose lives quietly come apart at the seams.

Hannah (Mia Farrow) is the steady, successful actress everyone leans on. Her husband Elliot (Michael Caine) finds himself helplessly drawn to her younger sister Lee (Barbara Hershey), who shares a flat with a brooding older painter. The third sister, Holly (Dianne Wiest), drifts between acting auditions, catering jobs and half-finished scripts, never quite landing on solid ground. Hovering at the edges is Mickey, a hypochondriac TV producer and Hannah's ex, played by Allen himself. Every thread pulls tight around the holiday table.

The film took home three Academy Awards, with Caine and Wiest both winning for supporting roles and Allen honored for his screenplay. New York is shot with such tenderness it almost becomes a fourth sister. Stream Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) online on iFILM.
