Allen takes Dr. David Reuben's straight-faced sex manual and turns it into a parade of nonsense. One segment follows a medieval court jester and a stubborn chastity belt. Another sends up science fiction, with a scientist hunting a giant escaped breast that roams the countryside. A third drops us inside the human body during a date, where the sperm are nervous men in white jumpsuits waiting for the launch. Allen himself appears in several roles, joined by Gene Wilder, Burt Reynolds, Tony Randall and Louise Lasser.

This is one of Allen's early gag-driven pictures, made well before his turn toward serious drama, and still loved for its sheer cheek and parody.
