Rifkin's Festival (2020) — watch online on iFILM, Woody Allen's romantic comedy shot entirely in San Sebastián, Spain. Mort Rifkin, a New York screenwriter played by Wallace Shawn, tags along as his publicist wife accompanies a fashionable French director through the festival circuit. The Basque coastline is beautiful. The marriage is not.

Mort suspects his wife (Gina Gershon) is falling for her client (Louis Garrel). While he obsesses, he also falls — for a local Spanish doctor played by Elena Anaya. The film keeps cutting to black-and-white dream sequences where Mort argues with Bergman, Fellini, and Godard about love and mortality. Christoph Waltz turns up in a small but sharp supporting role.
