When her best friend Lillian (Maya Rudolph) gets engaged and names her maid of honor, Annie has to keep it together through increasingly disastrous rituals — dress fittings, a Vegas bachelorette trip, an ill-fated plane ride. Standing in her way is polished rival Helen (Rose Byrne), while Melissa McCarthy's scene-stealing Megan and Irish cop Rhodes (Chris O'Dowd) pull the story in every direction at once. McCarthy earned an Academy Award nomination for the role.
