Wrath of the Titans

Wrath of the Titans (2012) is a fantasy action sequel you can watch online on iFILM. A decade after slaying the Kraken, the demigod Perseus, played by Sam Worthington, has hung up his sword to raise his son and fish a quiet stretch of coast. The blood of Zeus still runs in him, though.

The calm cracks fast. As human prayers fade, the gods weaken, and the prison of Tartarus can no longer hold Kronos — the titan father of Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. Hades (Ralph Fiennes) and the war god Ares strike a bargain to drain Zeus (Liam Neeson) of his power and free the beast. Perseus takes up arms again, joining the warrior queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike) and the slippery demigod Agenor on a descent into a shifting underworld labyrinth.

Director Jonathan Liebesman swings for scale: a mountain-sized Kronos wreathed in lava, cyclopes, a minotaur in a stone maze, and aerial fights on Pegasus. Bill Nighy turns up as the aged smith god Hephaestus, and Edgar Ramirez plays Ares. A direct follow-up to Clash of the Titans, it bends Greek myth into loud, large-scale spectacle.
