Spirited

Spirited (2022) is a musical comedy you can watch online on iFILM. It flips Dickens on its head: every Christmas Eve the Ghost of Christmas Present picks one lost soul to redeem. This year he picked the wrong one.

The target is Clint Briggs, a slick media consultant who profits from other people's quarrels and has zero interest in becoming a better man. Will Ferrell plays the weary Ghost; Ryan Reynolds plays the smug skeptic who refuses to learn his lesson. Instead, Briggs starts working on the ghost, forcing Present to dig through his own past and future. Octavia Spencer brings the heart, and the whole thing keeps breaking into big song-and-dance numbers.
