About

Synopsis

Pressure (2026) is a historical thriller from director Anthony Maras — watch it online on iFILM, starring Andrew Scott and Brendan Fraser. The UK-French production runs 100 minutes and centres on a 72-hour window that most D-Day histories treat as a footnote: the weather.

Late May 1944. The Allied fleet is assembled, the troops are briefed, and the invasion is hours away. Captain James Stagg, the chief meteorologist, spots two converging storm systems heading for the Channel and tells General Eisenhower to hold. The brass are sceptical. Stagg's equipment is imperfect, his data partial, and every hour of delay risks the whole operation being compromised. He has until the window opens to prove the numbers right — or watch the largest seaborne assault in history sail into the wrong weather.

What makes this story land hard is that Stagg was correct, and he knew it before anyone would believe him. Maras keeps the film tight and almost claustrophobic — less war epic, more pressure-cooker procedural about the burden of being right when the stakes are this high. Scott gives Stagg a quiet, coiled authority that carries every scene. Stream Pressure (2026) online on iFILM.
