Synopsis
Che: Part Two (2008) is Steven Soderbergh's historical drama you can watch online on iFILM. Benicio del Toro returns as Ernesto Guevara, this time during the last and losing campaign of his life.
Years after his victory in Cuba, the commander could have held on to power, but he slips into Bolivia under a false name to spark another uprising in the Andean villages. His small column of guerrillas hides in the bush, runs short of food, loses fighters and never wins the peasant support it counted on. Soderbergh films it almost like a logbook: mud, fever, intercepted radio traffic and the slow tightening of a net as the army and the CIA close in.
Alongside del Toro you will find Carlos Bardem, Franka Potente, Demián Bichir and Lou Diamond Phillips. The actor took the Best Actor prize at Cannes for the two-part project. What plays out here is a cold, unromantic look at how a revolutionary legend actually ends. Stream Che: Part Two (2008) online on iFILM.
