Synopsis
Queer as Folk (1999) is a Channel 4 drama created by Russell T. Davies — watch online on iFILM. Set in Manchester's Canal Street scene, the series follows two best friends nearing thirty and one teenager who rewires everything.
Stuart Jones has money, looks, and a gravitational pull over everyone around him. Vince Tyler has wit and warmth — and has been quietly carrying feelings for Stuart for years without saying a word. Then fifteen-year-old Nathan Maloney appears after a single night with Stuart, convinced it meant something. He forces his way into a friendship that thought it had seen everything. Aidan Gillen, Craig Kelly, and a young Charlie Hunnam lead the cast under directors Charles McDougall, Sarah Harding, and Menhaj Huda.
The debut episode caused a national controversy when it aired, and the show reshaped how British television handled queer stories. An American remake followed years later, but the original series is leaner and less polished — and better for it. Stream Queer as Folk (1999) on iFILM.
