Station Eleven (2021) is an HBO Max drama series you can watch online on iFILM. A flu pandemic collapses civilization in a matter of weeks. Twenty years later, a traveling Shakespeare troupe moves between settlements around the Great Lakes, performing plays — because the people who survived decided that art was worth keeping.

Mackenzie Davis plays Kirsten, who was a child on the night everything ended and has grown up inside the company. Himesh Patel plays Jeevan, whose path crossed hers in the chaos of the first outbreak. The series cuts between the present-day journey and the hours, days, and years surrounding the collapse — showing who characters were before and what they carry forward. Standing in the troupe's way is a religious cult led by a figure called the Prophet, who has taken control of a small town and is waiting for them.

Created by Patrick Somerville and based on Emily St. John Mandel's 2014 novel, Station Eleven uses the post-apocalypse as a frame for something more interior — grief, memory, and the stubborn human habit of making meaning.
