Flight of the Phoenix

No radio. No accurate map. No rescue coming, because nobody knew their real route. Captain Frank Towns (Dennis Quaid) blames himself for the crash and is ready to wait for death. Then a strange passenger named Elliott, an aircraft designer, floats an impossible idea: strip the wreck for parts and build a smaller plane that can actually fly them out. The catch is whether to trust a man who, it turns out, designs model planes rather than real ones. Heat, dwindling water and a roaming band of smugglers push the deadline faster than any blueprint.
