Synopsis
The Transfiguration (2016) is an American horror drama directed by Michael O'Shea — watch it online on iFILM. Milo is a Black teenager living with his older brother in a rough New York housing project. He is convinced that vampirism is real, achievable, and worth pursuing. Several people have already paid for that conviction with their lives.
When Sophie, a quiet white girl carrying her own damage, moves into the building, the two misfit teens form an uneasy bond. She sits through his vampire movie marathons; he edges closer to telling her the truth. Eric Ruffin and Chloë Levine carry the film almost entirely through silences and glances.
O'Shea's debut won recognition at the Rotterdam International Film Festival and divides audiences sharply — it is a slow, cold social drama about violence and isolation, not a genre film that delivers scares on schedule. If you come for monsters, you will find something less comfortable instead. Stream The Transfiguration (2016) online on iFILM.
