The archangel Gabriel arrives stripped of his powers, forced into human flesh with no wings and no divine shield. The angels sent before him either died or lost themselves among the city's lost souls, forgetting why they came. Now Gabriel must locate the few who survived, confront the Fallen who rule this place, and reignite the Light before it goes out for good. The problem is that a human body comes with fear, doubt, and pain — none of which an archangel was built to handle.
