Adventureland

Adventureland (2009) is Greg Mottola's coming-of-age comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. The summer of 1987 was supposed to mean Europe for college grad James Brennan. The job is a grind: rigging carnival prizes nobody can win and hearing the same loop of fairground pop a hundred times a shift. Jesse Eisenberg plays James as a kid who only thinks he's ready for adulthood. Kristen Stewart is Em, a co-worker with a complicated home life, while Ryan Reynolds turns up as the park's smooth-talking handyman and Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader run the place as its oddball managers.

Mottola wrote it close to his own teenage years, trading raunch for awkward tenderness and the drift of a long, aimless summer.
