Synopsis
A Mighty Heart (2007) is Michael Winterbottom's drama-thriller — watch it online on iFILM. Karachi, January 2002. Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl goes to meet a source and vanishes. His wife Mariane, six months pregnant, refuses to wait.
Angelina Jolie plays Mariane Pearl — not a grieving wife standing by, but the person who holds together Pakistani police, ISI officers and American officials simultaneously while the clock runs down. Irrfan Khan plays the Karachi police captain navigating the case from inside a fractured system. Winterbottom shot on location with handheld cameras, cutting between interrogations, phone calls and the controlled desperation of a woman who knows exactly what she's dealing with.
