Synopsis

Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011) is Stephen Daldry's drama you can watch online on iFILM. Nine-year-old Oskar finds a key hidden in his late father's closet, tucked in an envelope marked only with the word "Black."

A year earlier the boy lost his dad on the morning the towers came down. Convinced the key is one last puzzle his father left behind, Oskar sets out to visit every person named Black across New York City. Tom Hanks appears in his memories; Sandra Bullock plays the mother struggling to reach a son who has shut down; and Max von Sydow is the mute old renter who answers with words inked on his palms and walks the city beside the kid. Along the way Oskar collects strangers' stories, each carrying a grief of their own.

Adapted from Jonathan Safran Foer's novel, the film earned two Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture. Newcomer Thomas Horn anchors nearly every scene. It's a story about a child learning to let go. Stream Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011) online on iFILM.
