Synopsis
Romance & Cigarettes (2005) is a musical dark comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Nick Murder is a New York ironworker — Gandolfini, very much not playing Tony Soprano. He has a wife, Kitty (Sarandon), three grown daughters, and a fiery new girlfriend named Tula (Winslet). When Kitty finds out, the whole neighbourhood hears about it. Nick gets thrown out. At this point, the characters start singing. Not as a metaphor — literally, in the street, belting out old pop and soul standards that say what straight dialogue cannot.
