Steven Taylor is a Wall Street player staring at financial ruin, with his fortune tied to his wealthy wife Emily. When he learns she is sleeping with painter David, he digs into the man's past and finds a con artist with a prison record instead of an artist. Steven offers him half a million dollars to kill Emily. The scheme is timed to the second. What neither man counts on is Emily being sharper than both of them.
