Synopsis
The Wave (Bølgen, 2015) is a Norwegian disaster thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Director Roar Uthaug centers the story on geologist Kristian Eikjord, who monitors a volatile mountain ridge above the narrow Geiranger fjord. He's days away from moving his family to a new job when the sensors start screaming.
The mountainside gives way without warning. A wall of water over 230 feet high races toward the resort town below — and Kristian is trapped on the wrong side of it. His wife and children are down there. Kristoffer Joner and Ane Dahl Torp carry the film's emotional weight through 104 minutes of controlled dread and chaotic survival.
