#Alive (2020) is a Korean zombie thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Director Cho Il traps his hero in a high-rise apartment while an unexplained virus tears the city apart below.

Young gamer Joon-woo (Yoo Ah-in) wakes up alone. His family is gone, and out on the streets people turn into frenzied creatures within seconds, clawing their way into the building. The networks are down, the food runs low, the phone battery drains. Joon-woo barricades the door and buys time until he spots another survivor in the window across the way — Yoo-bin (Park Shin-hye). Two strangers start keeping each other alive across the gap between two towers.

The film plays almost like a chamber piece: few locations, plenty of claustrophobia, and the raw panic of one person cut off from the world by his own smartphone. Among the wave of Korean zombie horror that followed Train to Busan, this one wins not with scale but with the silence of an empty flat and the fear of being the last one left.
