American Gods (2017) is a Starz fantasy series you can watch online on iFILM, adapted from Neil Gaiman's novel. The premise is simple and strange: gods are real, they survive on belief, and modern America now worships money, screens and celebrity instead.

Just out of prison, ex-con Shadow Moon learns his wife died days before his release. On the road to her funeral he takes a bodyguard job from a sly stranger named Mr. Wednesday, played by Ian McShane. Wednesday turns out to be one of the Old Gods, quietly mustering allies for a coming war against the New ones. Ricky Whittle, Emily Browning and Pablo Schreiber carry the story across a country of roadside motels, dive bars and forgotten shrines.
