Lovecraft Country (Season 1)

Lovecraft Country (2020) is an HBO horror-fantasy drama series you can watch online on iFILM. Atticus Freeman, a Black Korean War veteran, drives across the segregated America of the 1950s to track down his vanished father.

He travels with his friend Letitia and his Uncle George, who compiles a guidebook of places where Black travelers can stop without fear. The threat runs in two directions at once: small-town sheriffs and Jim Crow laws on one side, and creatures that look ripped from a cheap Lovecraft paperback on the other. Jonathan Majors, Jurnee Smollett, Wunmi Mosaku, and Michael K. Williams play a family pulled by secret societies into a fight over old bloodlines and books of magic.

Adapted from Matt Ruff's novel and executive produced by Jordan Peele and J.J. Abrams, the show runs a single season of ten episodes.
