Outcast (Seasons 1–2)

Outcast (2016) is a supernatural drama series on Cinemax — watch it online on iFILM. Based on Robert Kirkman's comic of the same name, the show follows Kyle Barnes, played by Patrick Fugit, a man who has retreated into the house he grew up in, somewhere in rural West Virginia. He barely leaves. His sister is the only person he lets close. The reason: possession has followed Kyle since childhood, leaving a trail of damaged people behind him.

Local reverend Anderson, played by Philip Glenister, has spent years performing exorcisms alone and is convinced Kyle is something more than a troubled loner. Brent Spiner plays Sidney, a figure whose interest in Kyle grows more unsettling with each episode. The series moves deliberately — dread builds through atmosphere and small-town silence rather than jump scares.

Kirkman wrote and executive-produced both seasons, which wrapped in 2017. Two seasons, tight storytelling, no filler arcs. Stream all episodes of Outcast online on iFILM.
