Mighty Joe Young

Mighty Joe Young (1998) is Ron Underwood's adventure film you can watch online on iFILM. High in the mountains of central Africa lives a gorilla like no other: a genetic quirk has grown Joe to nearly fifteen feet tall.

As a girl, Jill watched poachers gun down her mother, who died shielding the gorillas. The man behind the raid, Andrei Strasser, also wounded the infant Joe. Years later the grown Jill (Charlize Theron) is Joe's keeper and only family. When zoologist Gregg O'Hara (Bill Paxton) arrives, he persuades her to move Joe to a California refuge where he should be safe. Strasser, though, never forgot the prize, and he tracks them straight to Los Angeles.

This Disney family picture revisits the 1949 classic of the same name, with cameos by Ray Harryhausen and Terry Moore from the original.
