Synopsis
Jungle Book (1942) is a live-action adventure film you can watch online on iFILM. Director Zoltan Korda adapted Rudyard Kipling's stories with Sabu — already a star from The Elephant Boy and The Thief of Bagdad — in the role of Mowgli, a boy raised by wolves in the jungle who must navigate a world that never fully accepts him on either side of its border.
Shot in Technicolor with real animals on set — leopards, bears, a python — the film runs 108 minutes and leans into the treasure-city plot that Disney later reworked as comedy. The tone here is darker and more morally tangled than the 1967 cartoon.
