Synopsis
Pete's Dragon (2016) is a family fantasy from director David Lowery you can watch online on iFILM. After a crash leaves a small boy alone in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, the thing that finds him is not a search party. It is a huge green dragon that can vanish in plain sight, and it raises Pete for six years as its own.
When forest ranger Grace stumbles onto the now ten-year-old Pete (Oakes Fegley), the tall tales her father Mr. Meacham (Robert Redford) used to tell about a dragon in the deep woods stop sounding like tales. Pete talks about a creature named Elliott, and the details line up too well. Soon a local logging family wants to track the animal down, and the boy faces a choice between the only family he remembers and the human world he half-forgot. Bryce Dallas Howard, Wes Bentley and Karl Urban round out the cast.
