Flower (2017) is an indie dark comedy directed by Max Winkler — watch online on iFILM. Seventeen-year-old Erica Vandross runs her corner of the San Fernando Valley on attitude alone: quick with a comeback, fearless in the wrong situations, and thoroughly convinced she has people figured out.

Zoey Deutch plays Erica with a sharp edge that keeps you at arm's length until her stepbrother Luke (Joey Morgan), fresh out of rehab, moves into the house. They share nothing obvious, but something clicks. When Erica learns a dark secret about a local authority figure, her reckless energy finds a specific target — and the film pivots from comedy into something with actual stakes and consequences.

Kathryn Hahn and Tim Heidecker play the adults without turning them into punchlines. Adam Scott takes on a role against type. Winkler keeps the film balanced on a narrow ledge between laughs and damage, and mostly stays on it. Stream Flower online on iFILM.
