Synopsis

Art School Confidential (2006) is an American satirical comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Director Terry Zwigoff, working again with Ghost World screenwriter Daniel Clowes, takes the art school world apart with surgical unkindness.

Jeremy Platz arrives at a prestigious arts program certain that genuine talent is the only currency that matters. Max Minghella plays him with an optimism that gets chipped away scene by scene. The most celebrated student on campus paints crude squares and knows exactly what he is doing. John Malkovich is the professor who turned bitterness into a teaching style; Jim Broadbent is a washed-out alumnus living in the building's basement, a warning nobody reads.

Based on Clowes's comic strip, the film argues that the art world sells stories about art, not art itself. Stream Art School Confidential (2006) online on iFILM.
