But while the rest of the town buzzes with excitement, sixteen-year-old Dinky Bossetti has a different reason to wait: she has convinced herself that Roxy is her birth mother, and the reunion will change everything. Ryder plays Dinky with exactly the kind of outsider precision she owned in early-career roles — sharp, lonely, quietly desperate.
