Dust Devil

Dust Devil (1992) is a cult supernatural thriller you can watch online on iFILM, shot entirely on location in the Namibian desert by British director Richard Stanley. Multiple cuts exist; the director's version runs the longest and sharpest.

A hitchhiker drifts across the scorched emptiness of southern Africa. He is not a man — or not only a man. Robert John Burke plays an ancient shape-shifting demon who targets people who have already decided to die, those standing on the edge of their own will. Wendy (Chelsea Field) is running from a violent husband when she picks him up. A local detective tracking the ritual killings begins piecing together legends from the San people about exactly this kind of predator. The murders leave deliberate markings. The landscape does most of the talking.
