Pet Sematary

Pet Sematary (1989) is a Stephen King horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Dr. Louis Creed moves his family to a quiet town in Maine, where a path behind the house leads into the woods and an old burial ground for animals.

It starts with the family cat, Church, struck dead on the highway out front. Neighbor Jud (Fred Gwynne) shows Louis a trail past the ordinary pet graves, to soil the Micmac once used and then abandoned, soil that gives back what you bury in it. Church comes home. He is not the same gentle cat. And a far worse choice waits for a grieving father willing to pay any price.

Mary Lambert directed from a screenplay King wrote himself; he also turns up briefly as a minister. The tagline "sometimes dead is better" became one of horror's most quoted lines.
