Synopsis
The Karate Kid Part III (1989) is a martial-arts drama you can watch online on iFILM. Director John G. Avildsen brings back Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and his mentor Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita), but this time the opponents are grown men running a long con instead of schoolyard bullies.
Humiliated after the Cobra Kai loss, John Kreese gets bankrolled by his old Vietnam army buddy, ruthless tycoon Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith). Silver befriends Daniel, drives a wedge between him and Miyagi, and pushes the kid back toward the tournament he never wanted to defend. Miyagi refuses to train for revenge, so Daniel has to decide for himself what fighting is actually for.
This entry closes out the original 1980s trilogy and rests on the same teacher-and-student bond that made the franchise a touchstone and later fueled the Cobra Kai series. Harsher and meaner in tone than the first two. Stream The Karate Kid Part III (1989) online on iFILM.
