The Guardian

The Guardian (1990) is an American horror film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by William Friedkin and starring Jenny Seagrove, Dwier Brown, Carey Lowell, and Miguel Ferrer. Phil and Kate have just moved to Los Angeles, had a baby, and hired a nanny — the calm, pretty Camilla. Everything looks fine.

It isn't. At night Camilla slips into the forest to tend to something old in the trees. A massive ancient oak at the edge of the property has a long hunger, and newborns satisfy it. The horror builds quietly at first — small wrongnesses, a chill that won't explain itself — before Friedkin lets it break open completely.
