Bug (2007) is William Friedkin's psychological horror-thriller, and you can watch online on iFILM. Agnes, a lonely waitress, hides out in a run-down Oklahoma motel from the ex-husband who just got out of prison. Ashley Judd and Michael Shannon lead.

Into her room walks Peter, a soft-spoken Gulf War veteran with an unsettling stare and stranger ideas. At first there's tenderness between them. Then Peter starts seeing insects — under his skin, in the mattress, in the air itself. Worn down and starved for connection, Agnes begins to believe him. Tinfoil goes up on the walls, the motel room becomes a bunker, and the line between paranoia and conspiracy dissolves.

Friedkin, who made The Exorcist, films Tracy Letts's play almost as a two-hander stage piece — claustrophobic and raw. Shannon, who had played Peter onstage, carries the role to screen with barely a seam. Stream Bug (2007) online on iFILM.
