Exorcist II: The Heretic

Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977) is John Boorman's strange supernatural horror you can watch online on iFILM. It is the sequel to the landmark 1973 film.

Four years have passed since the demon was driven out of Regan MacNeil (Linda Blair). The teenager now lives under the care of a psychiatrist (Louise Fletcher) and tries to bury what happened to her. The Vatican sends Father Lamont (Richard Burton) to investigate the death of the priest who saved her. Using a hypnosis device that links two minds, Lamont enters Regan's memories and finds that the entity Pazuzu never really left. The answer leads him to Africa, where a man called Kokumo once survived the same possession.

Boorman threw out the playbook of the original and made a hallucinatory film full of locust swarms and shared dreams. Max von Sydow and James Earl Jones round out the cast.
